What are your application requirements?
We require 3 letters of recommendation, a letter of intent, California pharmacy intern license prior to starting the program, CA pharmacist licensure within 90 days of the start of residency, and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Please see requirement for acceptance for more detail.What are the approximate dates for interviews?
We will be conducting interviews mid-February. Candidates will be notified if they are selected for an on-site interview via phone or email.Are you required to staff?
Yes, residents are required to staff every other weekend (both Saturday and Sunday). With our limit of 40hrs/week, you will then take a day off during the week before and week after you staff. You receive training days before you are expected to staff on your own.How long are your rotations?
It depends on the rotation you are on, but usually between 4-6 weeks in duration.Is the program flexible with your rotations if you want to switch or extend a rotation?
This will be on a case by case basis as the residency program is required to meet all ASHP goals and objectives . It will also depend on the number of IPPE/APPE students during that time period.Which conferences will residents be required to attend?
Residents are expected to attend CSHP Seminar, ASHP Midyear, and Western States Conference. Residents are required to present at least one poster at CSHP Seminar and/or ASHP Midyear. Residents are required to submit a project/presentation for Western States and a manuscript at the end of the residency year.
